St. John’s Wood station is an ideal stop for either Lord’s cricket ground or the Abbey Road studios.
You can even buy Beatles memorabilia at the station.
One other claim to fame is that St. John’s Wood is the only tube station on the Tube which does not use any of the letters in the word ‘mackerel’. (Who knows how someone, somewhere spotted this quality – it’s very fishy!) Have a go.
And apparently there are only two Tube stations with all five vowels: Mansion House and South Ealing.
So for your creative journey: • What unusual claims to fame do you have? • Is there someone famous you know, related or connected to? Any unsual achievemen? (The author once hit a cricket ball under the River Thames!)
